Hey bro,

that error message "FATAL SCRIPT HOOK ERROR" you posted, I had that too at some point. It can be very confusing (as it can also come up in cases where the Enhanced version you're using IS ONE OF THE LISTED supported ones. On first look, in my case it looked like the issue was that Scripthook V seems to be unable to determine your Enhanced's game version number (hence failing the check and closing with a fatal error).

The issue seems to be smth else entirely. Learned in a forum today that 2 of popular "top level required" essential mod tools, namely dsound.dll and xinput.... kind of "compete" in Enhanced - you have to choose one! So unless a mod you're using is 100% reliant on dsound.dll, I suggest removing that first. If this doesn't solve your problem, you can reactivate it and remove the xinput file instead for another try.

Here's the thread that actually helped me out quite a bit today, even though it doesn't seem like a prime, award-winning thread to learn first, but rather random :)

Lemme know if this helped anyone! Would make me happy after so much searching and head scratching today :)

What gifts I want bestowed on me, you ask? Well, 2 mods I'd love to find somewhere (like this <3 forum....) as I'd like to conduct a proper test before joining a Patreon tier - please consider this a friendly REQUEST:
- latest, ideally Enhanced-ready Quant V
- a larger car pack that's "Enhanced ready" and/or 5Real Traffic/Roads compatible

BTW I've tried running multiple large mods that specifically list dsound.dll as a requirement, but if I'm not totally mistaken (I'm pretty new to modding GTAV, like 5 days into my journey) everything seems to run correctly WITHOUT dsound.dll but WITH xinput. Should I discover I'm mistaken (if you know for sure, let me know) then I guess I could still inverse the choice - throw out xinput and re-activate dsound.dll.

But for now, I guess "if it ain't broke don't fix it" HAHAHA

Will try my luck with a few smaller, "single" mods by V8Enthusiast next, they come in .dll format which seems a bit odd to a noob like me, but based on their recent updates these mods - like "Garages & Dealerships", to name one, should all work with both Legacy and Enhanced...

I guess things could still crash in countless spots on the map, so I will have to further sacrifice myself with some actual GTA V Enhanced GAMING too! I know, it's a hard knock life.... My learning of the day (listen up, other noobs!): Make "snap shot backups" when a nice setup has come together. Also: Backup of vanilla. And backup only with modtools, but no mods.

Not hard to screw up smth small - and I found troubleshooting the latest problem is much more painful than just going back 2 steps to a fine-working setup that ran fine (even if it's a >100 GB large snapshot). All hail SSDs! <3
