Request 3ds Max Help

Is there anybody that know his way in 3ds max ?
I need to edit an excisting mlo (opening a door) but as soon as I open the door, you fall under the map.

I'm new to the 3ds max scene, thats why I'm asking for some help here. Maybe show me or tell me what to do.
I watched a couple tutorials, but that only makes me confused as hell

True. I'm teaching myself now for the past days. Since I want to fix the problem myself, and maybe I can offer other people help at the end.
The software has so much learning points. I do understand paided MLOs. But once you have it under control it should be all basic's.
