It expects an value basicly everything else except then the value nil.... !?
But this value should be defined inside this function most likely, for debugging purpose's you could try to print complete result in the console ;

print(json.encode(result))
```
And go from there, check if the code what is triggered in the function....
I dont know if / and what base you're working from but if ; did you installed it correctly and if try to use an empty db table to see if you can reproduce the issue
