Pogue StockMarket Script Update - V1.2.0​

We’ve added exciting new features to the Pogue StockMarket Script , enhancing flexibility and economic depth on your RedM server. This update introduces special job-specific commission rates and improved trading mechanics, allowing for a more dynamic and collaborative trading system. —

What’s New?​

Special Job-Based Commissions​

• Added a SpecialJobs system to define unique commission rates for specific jobs.
• Jobs like banker and bookmaker can now have their own commission rates, separate from regular players.
• Configurable Settings : You can add or remove special jobs and customize their commission rates in the config.lua file.

Updated Commission Logic​

• Players not affiliated with brokers or special jobs pay a default commission rate (20% by default).
• Special jobs pay reduced commission rates, specific to their profession (e.g., banker pays 10% , bookmaker pays 15% ).
• All commissions, regardless of who collects them, are pooled into the broker commission account .

What’s the Goal?​

This update ensures a seamless trading experience, even when brokers are not available online. By introducing special jobs, players gain alternative options to trade stocks and commodities while maintaining an active and collaborative economy.​

How It Works?​

Scenario 1: No Broker Online​

• When a broker is not online, players can still trade stocks and commodities.
• Regular players pay the default commission rate (20% by default).

Scenario 2: Special Jobs Active​

• Players can interact with special job holders like banker or bookmaker to perform trades.
• These special jobs have reduced commission rates (e.g., banker at 10% , bookmaker at 15% ), offering a more economical option for trading.

Scenario 3: Broker Online​

• When a broker is online, players can trade directly through them, bypassing commission fees.
• Regardless of the scenario, all collected commissions are pooled into the broker’s commission account

All professions and their respective commission rates can be easily customized in the config.lua file. This allows server administrators to tailor the trading system to fit their economy and gameplay preferences.

Pogue Stockmarket v1.3.0 Small Update​

We’ve made some small but impactful improvements to the DecreaseVolatility function to enhance the market’s behavior and realism:

1. Dynamic Minimum Volatility​

• Why? Previously, all stock volatilities dropped and stabilized at 1 over time, leading to static market behavior.
• Improvement: Now, when volatility falls below 1, it dynamically resets to a value between 1 and 3, adding more variety and avoiding repetitive trends.

2. Realistic Volatility Restoration​

• Why? Volatility restoration was previously rigid, directly resetting to the old value, which lacked realism.
• Improvement: When volatility is restored, a small random adjustment (-1 to +1) is applied, making the process more dynamic and lifelike.

• These changes ensure that the stock market behaves more dynamically, reflecting realistic market conditions while maintaining balance and variety.

We’ve made important adjustments to the DecreaseVolatility function to enhance the market’s behavior and realism, making it more dynamic and unpredictable. —

What’s New?​

Realistic Volatility Adjustment
Why? Previously, volatility adjustments were rigid and simply reset to the original value, lacking realism.
Improvement: Now, when volatility is adjusted, a random adjustment will be applied within a specified range (e.g., - (1 & 8) to + (1 & 8) ). This will make the process more lifelike and reflective of real-world market conditions.

Surprise Effect When Volatility Drops Below 2
Improvement: If volatility drops below 2, a surprise effect will kick in and raise the volatility. This will make the market more unpredictable and exciting! —

Why This Matters​

These changes ensure the stock market behaves more dynamically, reflecting realistic market fluctuations while maintaining balance and variety. Now, the market will have more surprises and fluctuations, making it feel much more natural and engaging.
