Unix Scripts -- GeoGuesser -- Where am I? -- Minigame
Looking for an exciting and unique game for your server? The GeoGuesser script is a brand-new way to engage your players! This script provides a dynamic and interactive experience that challenges players to test their knowledge of your server's map.
Features:
Immersive Gameplay: Players are teleported to a random, pre-defined location on the map and must choose the correct location from a list of options.
Customizable Locations: The game's locations can be easily configured in `config.lua`, allowing you to add as many unique spots as you want.
Interactive UI: A modern and sleek UI displays the game's menus, including a start menu, a status menu, and an answer menu. The UI is built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring a smooth user experience.
Safety First: While a game is active, players are placed in a "SafeZone" where they are invincible and cannot use weapons, preventing interruptions from other players.
Discord Integration: The script can be configured to send a Discord webhook notification when a game ends, showcasing the player's total score.
Score and Time Tracking: The status menu keeps players informed of their current points, remaining time, and round status (correct or incorrect guess).
How it Works:
1. A player initiates the game using the `/geoguesser` command.
2. The start menu appears, allowing the player to select the number of rounds.
3. The player is teleported to a random location.
4. The answer menu presents several location options, and the player must choose the correct one.
5. Points are awarded based on the speed of the correct guess.
6. The game ends after the specified number of rounds, and the player's final score is displayed. The player is then teleported back to a configurable end-game location.
This GeoGuesser script is a perfect addition to any server looking to offer a fun, competitive, and highly-customizable experience for its community.
